Attracted by the beauty of the Ionian Sea with its unique play of colors, the small island of Lefkada immediately captivated us on our first visit with its original charm and warm hospitality – and hasn’t let go of it until today. The overwhelming feeling of not only coming back here again and again, but of staying, has led us to create a new home in this place. And we succeeded. We were fascinated by the “rough” west coast with its many beautiful beaches and so we found the perfect place above Kathisma, one of the most beautiful beaches of Lefkada.
Located between the village of Kalamitsi and the former fishing village of Agios Nikitas, with its many small taverns, shops and its own village beach, our feel-good place has emerged.

φωλιά (pronounced: foliá) is the Greek word for nest.
Where the eagles used to have their nests in the past, we have now built our „nest“.
In the midst of original nature, with a spectacular view over the open sea and dreamlike sunsets.
Here you can feel good, let your soul dangle, reflect on the essentials, slow down life – just “only” BE. Torn out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we can experience nature here with all our senses. We fall asleep to the sound of the sea and wake up with it.
We enjoy the flora and fauna as well as the harvest of our own herbs, fruit and vegetables.
Our small but fine infinity pool with bench and massage jets serves as a refreshment.
Another perfect place to enjoy the sunset.
Our new home is surrounded by terraces and plant beds, embedded between olive trees, cypresses, holm oaks and much more, divided into different levels by the steep slope. We nested ourselfes on the top level, our pool with outdoor shower and pool terrace is on the intermediate level and our cute “guest house” is on the third level, which also has two terraces of its own.

Enough space for encounters but also enough to be alone.

Our cute Casa Foliá offers space for a maximum of 2 adults and is therefore particularly suitable for couples, honeymooners, 2 friends, single travelers etc.
Unfortunately, our site and the accommodation are not suitable for children under 14 years old.

Fancy a discovery tour?

Day trips, whether to one of the many beaches, to one of the picturesque charming mountain villages, to the southern tip of the island (Cap Ducato) or to the east coast from where you can see the island of Skorpios, can be easily implemented from our location and are always worthwhile, as the island has so many different things to discover.
Other special highlights are, for example, boat or sailing trips, paragliding (sometimes over our “casa foliá”) or a visit to a winery.
And if you don’t feel like catering for yourself in the evening, it’s always worth visiting a typical Greek tavern or one of the more exclusive locations.
An evening stroll through Lefkada town, where life pulsates on the Platia late into the night during the summer months, is always a pleasure.

As you might have guessed, the charm of this island has us firmly in its grip. With the utmost respect for nature and the people here, we can now live our dream in this unique spot on earth.
